Super Makers is a series of workshops and games for building sustainable worlds. The first episode is dedicated to renewable energies: Wind, Sun and Water.
Travelling through a landscape of consecutive projects kids learn about different types of renewable energies, make their own energy circuit, design a custom lamp and build a renewable energy station to power it.
Cross between virtual and physical worlds
Super Makers uses augmented reality and computer vision to get kids into making. For instance, kids are able to check the efficiency of a wind turbine with an RPM counter by holding their cardboard creations up to the camera.
Create
Super Makers set children at the heart of the process, enabling them to take ownership of their own creations!
Learn
Kids can learn about electronics, design and sustainability through a series of exciting games.
Play
Super Makers embraces open play, nurturing skills that can be used across a variety of subjects.
Test
Kids can use Augmented Reality to bring their creations to life.
Share
Anyone can share their creations by uploading photos and connecting with distant makers!
Make
Kids can make their own physical energy station using simple materials like paper and cardboard.

Our workshops set children at the heart of the process. We regularly run workshops at primary schools, where we teach kids the fundamentals of scientific principles through a series of physical activities. We use design methods in our workshops that we think are relevant to all fields and participant ages. Due to the recent pandemic, we couldn't continue with our physical workshops and had to take some time to think of new ways of running workshops online. We hope that Super Makers will bring together the best of both worlds: getting kids to learn online by making their own real world inventions today, and getting them excited about the sustainable future of tomorrow.
